We provide Suzuki keyless remote programming instructions here, most specifically for the Suzuki Grand Vitara and the Suzuki XL-7, although these may work for the Suzuki SX4 and Equator models. We will provide instructions for the Suzuki Kizashi soon, although it is a relatively newer model.
Suzuki Grand Vitara Programming Instructions
If your remote is in fact broken, we recommend the purchase of Suzuki Grand Vitara keyless entry replacement remotes.
Programming your Grand Vitara remote is as follows:
A. Close all the doors tightly and make sure there is no key in the ignition.
B. Open the driver’s side door. Insert key and turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
C. Remove the ignition key within 10 seconds.
D. Push and release the driver’s side door switch three times in under 20 seconds. (This is also called the courtesy light button or switch, inside the Suzuki’s driver side door frame.)
E. Turn the ignition switch to ON again and remove the key from the cylinder within 10 seconds. All doors will automatically lock and unlock.
F. Now push the UNLOCK button on the Grand Vitara’s transmitter (within 20 seconds of the lock/unlock confirmation in E above). This completes the programming.
For any additional remotes with your Grand Vitara, simply repeat these steps. Best of luck in programming your Suzuki to remotely lock and unlock.
