How to Program a Ford Mustang Keyless Fob
For year models 1999-2008
- Insert the key into the ignition.
- Cycle the ignition from OFF to RUN (engine off) 8 times within ten seconds, ending in the RUN position. (engine off)
- The power door locks should cycle to indicate program mode.
- Press any button on the fob to program, the power door locks should cycle to indicate successful programming. Repeat for additional fobs.
- Turn the ignition off to exit program mode.
How to Program a Mustang Keyless Entry Remote Fob
For year models 1994-1998
- Inside the trunk on the drivers side, remove the trim panel located behind the tail light.
- Locate the black box with two gray wires coming from it. (not connected to anything)
- Turn the ignition to RUN (engine off)
- Temporarily connect the two jumper wires, locks should cycle to indicate program mode.
- Press any button on the transmitter to program, locks should cycle to indicate successful programming.
- To program additional remotes, press any button on the remaining transmitters to program, locks should cycle to indicate successful programming.
- Disconnect jumper wires, turn ignition off, test remotes.
